I know what you think. What the hell kind of question is that! I mean, you took this directory up because you may have to ski or snowboard, or you intend to try one or the other. But maybe you think you really have no immediate plans to freeze your heinie in a lift line. Or maybe your idea of fun is frustrating not to spend time in sub-freezing weather trying to pump your glasses with your gloves just finished using to wipe your nose!

Mr. Potato Head Party
Of the clubs that will let me really tell the little secrets of their fun, Plaza Ski Club, a group formed from a core group of skiers who worked at the Standard Plaza Building, it must have the best reason to get - collected west of the Cascades. Bullcrinkle's bashed Ball (the name for the club mascot, the Moose Bullcrinkle) and Chocolate Mousse Contest, not to mention the Party Mr. Potato Head, was attended functions in this ski-and golf groups. Of course, one must find out about the big "to dos" in the club newsletter, The Bull Sheet (the name should be the first clue that this is not just your run-of-the-mill ski club, don 't you think?). Plaza is a student club that has ski and golf events throughout the year.
Other groups have too much fun (thank goodness they share) is Skiyente Ski Club, also from Portland. Skiyente, which can make a glamorous "to do" out of every opportunity, will celebrate 45 years of brotherhood (they were all women, you see) in 1999-2000, and their publication, The Maiden Forum, can let you in on all the news about them off-the-slope fun. You can be part of the Butt-Bob Downhill (okay, you need snow for this, but soft lycra is not necessary - although it would be much admired), or participate in the Inter-Galactic Croquet Championships of the Universe starring our buddy Marvin Martian. Their fall membership drive great Wine & Cheese soiree, complete with a fashion show, not to mention the other functions that are not official. Sorry buddy, you can not become members, but the women will let you play!

A club all men with more than 50 years of famous Mt. Hood, Schnee Vogeli heart is for their imagination
Talking about the fellas, our man on the Mount, the members of the Schnee Vogeli Ski Club, can be found during the months of summer floating on the Deschutes River rafting on their annual journey, or at their summer picnic participate in challenging and very dangerous Cross-Dresser relay (I'm lovin 'this mental picture!). This incident brought to you by the same club who have given us a good few decades time with their extraordinary annual Pray for Snow event. A club all men with more than 50 years of famous Mt. Hood, Schnee Vogeli heart is as big as their imaginations - they gave $ 500 scholarships to the Council scholarship fund last year.
If you like hot fun in the summer time, Desert Ski Race Club seaplane Party - held at the site of private waterfront homes of the Desert Ski Club member - can not be beat. Desert Ski Club is a member of the Washington-based club NWSCC in the Tri-Cities area of Central Washington. Hot weather, cold water, and fast, LOUD ship smell testosterone (even when they named Miss something-or-other - why is that?) ... You get the picture. Desert Ski Club can provide this and much more!

crazy fun and activities that can be enjoyed as a member of a NWSCC
These are just some of the fun and crazy activities that can be enjoyed as a member of a club NWSCC. And with that many clubs to choose from, we must have the right one for you. So take a gander at our directory, find a club that you want to try, and give them a call. You'll be glad you did. Trust us. (And get the glasses squeegie for them!)
